Cieanna Smith

Cieanna Smith is a Graduate of the University of West Indies where she obtained a Bachelors of Law with honors. She attended the Norman Manley Law School and was awarded her Legal Education Certificate and was called to the Jamaican Bar in 2014. Cieanna practices in a wide range of legal areas to include, Estate Planning & Administration, Trust, Property Law, Intellectual Property, Commercial and Corporate Law.

She also explores the legal realm of technology law- focusing on Artificial Intelligence and Robotic Technology.

Over her years of her legal practice, Cieanna has proven her passion for her areas of practice and contributes to the legal profession in many ways. Her early years of practice commenced with the prominent north coast firm, Abendana & Abendana. As an Associate there, she was responsible for the firm’s Estate & Administration Department and also practiced in the areas of Property Law, Civil Litigation, Commercial and Corporate Law. She currently serves as Consultant to the firm in their Wills, Estate Planning & Administration Department.

Cieanna has received several awards and prizes for both academic performance and involvement in community service/volunteerism. She is amongst the first set of youths in Jamaica to receive the Governor General’s Youth Award and was the recipient of the Hon. Justice Langrin Memorial Scholarship, Caribbean American Bar Association (New Jersey Chapter) Scholarship, Tastee Scholarship for Law, Jaghi Scholarship, Osmond Tomlinson Scholarship and others. She was recently awarded the coveted St. Ann Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneur Award.

Cieanna has a passion for voluntary work and has been affiliated with such service organizations such as Optimist International, University of the West Indies Vice Chancellor’s Corp Students Today Alumi Tomorrow (UWISTAT), Governor General Awards Committee – St. Ann, and the St. Ann Chamber of Commerce. She now serves as a member of the Jamaican Bar Association Continuing Legal Education Committee, Jamaican Bar Association Publication Committee and is Carischolar Mentor.

Being a young attorney, she is often commended on her welcoming personality, her analytical skills; and her dedication in working sedulously to ensure clients-care is beyond expectations!
